Ford l reg car used all oil?

ford mondeo l reg had 2 and half liters of oil put in 3 weeks ago,now completly empty,checked coolant to see if water was there/or orange which would show if oil had gone there,it has not nor is car leaking underneath,nor smoking from back,im due to travel m5 in 3 days worried about the oilFord l reg car used all oil?
Sounds like your piston rings have worn and are letting oil vaporise and leak out exhaust unseen.


Its probable you could keep car working for a while with lots of oil fills on a regular basis but this will get worse and worse.


It's bad news im afraid ... its possible to repair but pricey ..maybe better to get another car when this one dies which may not be that long,

you dont mention what engine is it a turbo diesel have a look at the intake pipes is their a lot of oil if so may be the turbo seals have gone or if its a normally aspirated petrol is it high mileage possible piston rings get it too a garage or if your worried about traveling get some breakdown cover with recovery option
if its not leaking and its not mixed with the coolant then its going out the exhaust even though you cant see it.





you have a few choices; keep it topped up, invest in breakdown cover, repair the car (not worth it) or buy another vehicle.
Take the car to a mechanic and get if fixed. It's leaking somewhere.
