My car takes 5W-20 oil but I put in 10W-30. Is this bad?

Should I go get it drained????My car takes 5W-20 oil but I put in 10W-30. Is this bad?
you will be fine for 3,000 miles and then the next oil change put in the correct oil.My car takes 5W-20 oil but I put in 10W-30. Is this bad?
If it's a Hybrid, it can be a problem.

Any other car, it's perfectly fine. You might lose 1/4mpg, but that's it. Just keep in mind the 5W-20 next time.... although are you sure it isn't 5W30?

My car calls for 5W30, when I was having an oil burning problem I put straight 50 weight in to slow it down.
its fine...but r u sure it calls for 5w 20 not 5w 30?/ they put in super thin oil to get 1/10th extra mpg...helps fleet average but i dont like those super thins...leak easyier...10w 30 is fine
My Mazda uses 5W-20 and that's all I would ever use. You are probably ok but why take the risk when you could get a $20 oil change?
dont worry about it now/next time it will be cooler and then back to 5-20
