Does it leak any oil? I could be that once the car is running warm, a faulty gasket my swell enough to stop the leak. But stop and go driving might never let the engine warm up enough. Also, replace your PCV. It is cheap ($5). My Chev pickup was consuming oil (1 qt per tank of gas) before I replaced it.My car cosumes lot of engine oil, if it is used in the city, but not on long trips (say 500 KMs) Help me here?
It might be due to the fact that city driving has a lot more fluctuation on your RPMs/strain on the motor. During long trips you are not constantly accelerating, decelerating, accelerating.....
