Wife overfilled car with 2.5 qts. of oil, started smoking heavily,what should i do.?

drained some of the oil probaly not enough, she drove off with less smoke coming out but then the car started misfiring. should i drain more oil or all the oil, do you think the spark plugs fouled. looking for advice. car is a 1987 300zx nissan.Wife overfilled car with 2.5 qts. of oil, started smoking heavily,what should i do.?

Drain enough oil to get it at the proper level, if you're worried about the spark plugs remove them and check them, If the car is still smoking when the oil is at the proper level you're probably going to need to replace a gasket. It is possible it is a coincidence that the car is misfiring now and it's a separate issue, since it is an older car it's possible something else is wrong. does it misfire at idle or only high rpm's
Drain the overfilled crankcase until the oil level is at the correct level. Then next time you put the oil in.
Drain the oil and start over. The plus are probably oil fouled, but you may get lucky and be able to let it run for a while and see if they clean up. I would think that as long as there isn't any new source of oil in the combustion chamber, then it should clean up in no time. If not, then replace the plugs.
check oil and get right level. if still missing change plugs.
