No debate? There is lots of debate. I've seen some debate whether the source of oil is organic decomposition. As a matter of fact, there is nothing but debate due to the Peak Oil theory. You are wrong.
Doesn't matter whether or not there is any evidence, people who believe the earth is 6,000 years old still believe that oil exists, they just believe it was created a lot more recently (and perhaps via a different process) than the ';facts'; so widely accepted by the scientific community.
Ah yes but according to the Bible the world was made with age, meaning that the world was created as if it had been around for millions of years. If you believe in creation, fossil fuels are Jesus juice, since he created the world.
but... i've met some that say oil is formed quickly, not requiring the millions of years, just several years

most Christians i know(myself included) are well aware the earth is older then 6000 years. In my mind, it would be silly to believe otherwise.
