My car uses alot of oil.?

There is no leakage and no smoke coming from the exhaustMy car uses alot of oil.?
Check the radiator expansion tank for oil in the water, this could mean a blown cylinder head gasket. If not, not knowing whether it is a petrol or diesel and how old the car is etc... it can be a nightmare diagnosing things like this.

Your car could be burning oil slowly without too much smoke, make sure when you look at the exhaust for smoke, someone else presses the accelerator whilst you watch, as it is mostly only noticable when you rev the engine.

One more thing, if not that, check way down the back of your engine for leaks, as I have had customers cars in before and could not find a leak only to find that right down the back of the engine a core plug was leaking, replaced it and it was fine..... Look deep down inside the bay, and from underneath if you can. hope this helps.

Good luckMy car uses alot of oil.?
Question is ...what is a lot?

All engines use oil and this is normal.

You should certainly be checking your oil level weekly or every 500 miles.

If you have been used to checking more frequently as a result of seeing a drop in levels then it's a good idea to start recording the actual drop( in millimetres) in relation to the mileage you are doing.

Once you can tell your garage that it uses so much oil every so many miles then you can begin to delve deeper.

Just telling your mechanic that your car uses a lot of oil is of no help to them or to you ! Detailed facts and symptoms can go a long way to narrowing the possible causes.

A new car uses oil and an older car uses a lot more generally speaking as the engine interior begins to wear.

Climate; ambient temperature; style of driving; actual mileage; age of engine; frequency of servicing ; all play a role in how much oil your particular car will use and whether or not this usage is deemed to be excessive.

Keep checking.
How much is a lot? Less than 1 qt./1k miles, don't worry about it.

If there's no leak and no smoke, where's it going? Did you check your radiator?
it has to be doing 1 or the other. its either leaking or its burning.
it must be burning it well then....because it has to leave one way or the other....
('; RIGHT ';) How many quarts to the mile ? make - model - years - MILEAGE ???
