My car is making a winding noise. it has 94k miles and i bought it new. i get the oil changed every 3k miles,?

the tires rotated and balanced every 6k miles. the only time i hear the winding noise (like a cricket is stuck in there) is when i start the car, but when it is warmed up or i have driven it for a while it is ok. any suggestions on what the problem might beMy car is making a winding noise. it has 94k miles and i bought it new. i get the oil changed every 3k miles,?
If it happens only when you start the car and when it is cold I suggest that you have the belts checked to see if they are at the right tension, or if they need replacing they do stretch a little and when they become a little loose they will squeal until they warm up. with 94 k I would make sure that the timing belt has been changed and the the transmission fluid has been replaced. My car is making a winding noise. it has 94k miles and i bought it new. i get the oil changed every 3k miles,?
Belt tensioner, idler pulley, alternator, or A/C pulley bearings are dry and need to be replaced before they lock up and leave you stranded with an overheated engine..

TRUST ME.
Ok 94k no make model year size engine. Ok doctor I have this animal I don't know what it is can you do sugery on it? Whine can be low powersteering fliud or something more costly to repair. Sounds like you care for this no named car what is it?
if its a ford dont worry about it they all do that lol...being serious here though
sounds like a sticking lifter too me, my suggestion is to put a pint of Rislone engine treatment in it to help get the lifter lubed up and unstuck
Have you checked your belts lately. Im sure if you take it to a mechanich they can check into for about ten to fifteen dollars like they do here at firestone. If you end up having them repair it they will take that amount off your repair bill.
It must be an american car.
belt tension could be to tight
What Make/Model/Year is your car, and what engine size?
replace the belts
