Is it possible to drive a car without a fuel,instead.. by using oil..?

1= yes

2= no

3= maybeIs it possible to drive a car without a fuel,instead.. by using oil..?
The simple answer is that it may be possible. This will depend on a number of factors, the main one being the type of fuel pump that you car has. Even then there is no guarantee that your engine will not get clogged up and seize! A number of people have sucessfully run peugeot diesels on a mixture of 25% diesel and 75% TESCO vegetable oil. However, the results have been mixed and a fair number of people have reported major problems. My advice would be to consider LPG instead!Is it possible to drive a car without a fuel,instead.. by using oil..?
Cars can run on biodiesel which is composed of oil (vegetable oil or animal fat), alcohol and a catalyst.
I have heard that you may modify a diesel engine to run on vegetable oil. This sounds real promising yet I am unsure as to what the modification would be and how difficult it would be.
Nope, oil is excellent for keeping an engine running smoothly, but for a fuel, you need something that burns quickly.

Gasoline burns fast, but oil, well, sometimes you drop a match in the oil and it just goes out!

For the record, smaller engines often run on a mix of oil and fuel - so that would be a possibility.

people are now developing ways to convert used cooking oil to become energy to move vehicles.
