I have gas in my oil is that the same as the oil in my gas? and what will that do to my car.?

What kind and what age is your car? If it's gas in the oil you must have flooded the engine. Gas will cause erosion of the gaskets and rubber washers. You should get an oil change the car will run smoother.I have gas in my oil is that the same as the oil in my gas? and what will that do to my car.?

Over cranking a cars engine on fuel injected models can load the

the oil pan up with unburned fuel.Mighty dangerous condition. It's

been known to actually blow the pan off.
It seems like you are asking two questions;1) gas in your oil means that you may have a problem with maybe to things,a) your rings are worn in one or more cylinders. Or your valve guides are worn ed. you should have a compression done on your engine as soon as possible. 2) oil in your gas usually can only come from being put into your gas tank, however, the conditions that I stated above, if they were bad enough could cause oil to get into your gas, however, the problems mat come from your fuel pump, if you have a fuel pump that is attached to the side of your engine, which you may want to have check first.
YOU EITHER HAVE A STICKING FUEL INJECTOR PROBLEM OR A FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR CONCERN,DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE WITH FUEL IN THE OIL (IT WILL THIN THE ENGINE OIL AND CAUSE DAMAGE THE CYLINDER WALLS)

FIX WHATS CAUSING THE FUEL TO GET INTO THE OIL AND CHANGE THE OIL/FILTER
It's not the same. ';gas in the oil'; means there is gasoline in the engine crankcase. ';Oil in the gas'; means there is oil in the fuel tank. Neither is good.

Gas in your oil tends to indicate that your piston rings are bad, and not forming a good seal with the side of the cylinders. This means that during the compression stroke, when the air and fuel mixture is being compressed before ignition, some of the charge leaks past the rings and winds up in the engine sump. The gas will change the oil's viscosity and it won't lubricate as well as it should, and eventually your engine will die.

Alas, there's no cheap way to deal with this. You can either overhaul the engine, or change the oil and sell the car immediately.
if your car has a carb, its bad,,this will break down the oil and wash out the rings time to get this fix NOW
