My car is 1 year old 2008 yaris 3.9 quarts of oil 5w-30 is recomended.
I went to the dealer 3 times for the first oil change, then i decided to do it my self. What I did is drain the oil then took out the filter then dispose it. I brought a Mobil 1 filter and a syntetic royal purple 5w-30 oil in the store. I filled the filter w/ oil and install it tightand I put a total of 4 quartz of syntetic oil in the engine.Everything is done so i went and drive around theres no engine light or oil problem, but whenever i stop i can feel the vibration and it was'nt there before.Car vibrating after oil change?
That's a good question... but if the vibration is when he stops, I don't think that he bent something on the rack or anything... if he did he'd feel a vibration on movement, not upon stopping. I cannot think of anything that an oil change would do this to a car for. It may say ';use 3.9 quarts'; but always fill the filter *put oil on the seal to insure a good seal* and then fill the car until it says it does not need anymore. That's why they put a dip stick in cars. Always when you pull the oil filter check to make sure that the seal from that filter came off, because sometimes they stick to the block, and then you have that seal and the seal on the oil filter which you do not want. I honestly cannot think of anything that could be cause to make a car vibrate when ya stop so i would recommend to take it to a shop.
I wish you well.Car vibrating after oil change?
It sounds like you did everything right. How did you lift the car to get under it? If you used ramps(and didn't drive off the other side),there shouldn't be any damage. If you used a jack under the suspension,in the wrong spot, something may have gotten bent. The vibration may be a complete coincidence. A common vibration is a broken exhaust hanger that could cause a noise and vibration.
You must have inadvertently done something. Changing your oil would never cause that unless it was underfilled.
make sure you havent disconnected anything when you've been under the bonnet, plug lead/injector plug something like that.
You didn't put in one quart too many, did you?(one in the filter, 4 in the engine) That can cause some serious damage.
